It is with great joy that we celebrate today 6 June 2019, the 13th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution that gave birth to INTERMEPA, the International Marine Environment Protection Association.

The inaugural meeting took place on 6 June 2006 in Athens and the Constitution was signed by the Chairpersons and representatives of the four Founding members, which were AUSMEPA in Australia, CYMEPA in Cyprus, HELMEPA in Greece and TURMEPA in Turkey.

We wish every success to all the currents members of the Association, which besides the above now also include NAMEPA in North America, UKRMEPA in Ukraine and URUMEPA in Uruguay, and further expansion of the MEPA spirit worldwide!
